What changed

South Western Railway's Mysuru division will hold special Digital Life Certificate camps at five locations in November 2026. The camps are there to help railway pensioners and family pensioners generate and submit their life certificates.

The camps are part of the nationwide Jeevan Pramaan 5.0 campaign. The Railway Board launched the campaign on 1 November, and it concludes on 30 November. Livemint, citing The Hindu, reports that the campaign aims to reduce the need for pensioners to visit banks and offices in person.

Who it affects

The camps are for two groups: railway pensioners, and family pensioners who receive a railway pension. If you are in either group, the camps are meant to help you with the process.

The campaign uses digital methods, including face authentication and biometric authentication. Nominated Welfare Inspectors and other staff will be at the camps to help you generate and submit the certificate.

The camp dates and venues are the detail most pensioners will need first. Our source describes five locations but does not list them, so do not travel to a camp on the strength of this article alone. The division is the authority on where and when.

What pensioners should do

  • Get the venue list first. Ask the SWR Mysuru division, or check its official notices, for the five camp venues and their dates.
  • Check the document list. The report says the requirements were set out in a press release. That list is not reproduced in our copy, so confirm it with the division before you go.
  • Bring the details you need to ask. Have your pension details to hand when you call or visit, so the staff can check your case quickly.
  • Start early in the month. The campaign runs to 30 November, so there is time to attend a camp, but do not leave it to the final days.

Phone numbers

The division's contact numbers were in the original article, but they did not come through in the copy we used. We have not published any numbers here, because a wrong number wastes a pensioner's time. Use the numbers printed in the official notice or on the division's website.

The 139 helpline is the railway helpline for travel queries. For this campaign, use the division's own contacts.

Where can I get the camp venues?

The report says five camp locations will be set up, but our copy does not name them. Ask the South Western Railway Mysuru division or check its official notices for the venues and dates.

Who do I call if I cannot attend a camp?
