Bengaluru to Mumbai Vande Bharat Sleeper trains 27651 and 27652: timings, running days, stops and what to check before you book from November 2026.

Indian Railways train and platform

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express now runs overnight between Bengaluru and Mumbai. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the inaugural run from Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) in Bengaluru on Sunday, 1 November 2026. According to Hindustan Times, South Western Railway says regular services begin on 2 November in the Mumbai to Bengaluru direction and on 3 November in the return direction.

Check the first date for your direction: the report says regular services start on 2 November from Mumbai to Bengaluru (27651) and on 3 November from Bengaluru to Mumbai (27652). Confirm the first date you travel on IRCTC for the train number you want.

Stops on the route

The regular stops listed in the report are Anantapur, Guntakal, Raichur, Yadgir, Kalaburagi, Solapur, Pune and Kalyan. The inaugural run also stopped at Hindupur, Dharmavaram and Lonavala. The report does not say whether those three are regular stops, so do not plan a boarding or alighting there until the timetable confirms it.

Because the listed stops include Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Solapur and Pune, the train serves towns in north Karnataka and western Maharashtra as well as the two terminals.

Who it affects

  • Bengaluru to Mumbai travellers who want an overnight journey that arrives in the morning.
  • Passengers between Karnataka and Maharashtra, including those boarding or alighting at the Solapur, Pune and Kalyan stops.
  • Sleeper passengers. South Western Railway describes the train as a comfortable overnight option improving connectivity between the two states.

What travellers should do

  1. Pick a date and check the running day. 27652 does not leave Bengaluru on Mondays, and 27651 does not leave Mumbai on Tuesdays.
  2. Book on IRCTC for the exact date. Do not rely on a fixed route list from a news report. Seat and berth availability will show there.
  3. Compare with the other options on the same corridor in the trip planner, including the Vande Bharat and express trains.
  4. Reach the station early. For Bengaluru's terminal, see the SMVT station page. For Mumbai, see CSMT.
  5. We do not yet have a live status page for 27651 or 27652, so use the station boards on the day.
Tip: the Vande Bharat Sleeper is a new service, so timings and stops can be revised. For any change, the official notice on IRCTC and the railway's own announcements are the reliable sources. What the report does not say

The report gives no fares, no berth-class breakdown and no information on how many weekly trips run in each direction beyond the running days. Fares for the Vande Bharat Sleeper depend on the class and the booking date, so check the IRCTC fare page for your journey rather than relying on any number in this article.
