This report covers 29 September to 5 October 2026 (7 days) and 83 Amrit Bharat Express trains in the TrainLiveStatus delay history. For each train and day we take the largest delay reported during that day's run. A day counts as on time if that largest delay was within 15 minutes. Across all trains the average peak delay was 60 minutes and the on-time rate was 12%. We ranked 21 trains; the worst performers below come from that ranking.

Worst performers this week

The 19726 Amrit Bharat Express (Darbhanga to Khatipura) had the hardest week, with an average peak delay of 162 minutes across six observed days and a worst day of 329 minutes. It was on time on 17% of days, and our data shows it regained 102 minutes on average after its peak delay.

The 13434 Malda Town to Bengaluru Amrit Bharat (2,268 km) averaged 156 minutes over three observed days. Its worst day was 194 minutes and none of the observed days was on time.

The 19022 Amrit Bharat Express (Brahmapur to Udhna Junction) averaged 118 minutes over six observed days with no on-time days. It regained 73 minutes on average after its peak.

Next in the ranking were 15567 (Bapudham Motihari to Anand Vihar Terminal, 116 minutes on average) and 16598 (Alipur Duar to Bengaluru, 97 minutes). Both had no on-time days in our data.

Recovery

Several trains regained part of their delay after the peak. The 19726 regained 102 minutes on average and the 19022 regained 73 minutes. A few ranked trains show no recovery at all, such as 15558 (Anand Vihar Terminal to Darbhanga) and 11032 (Alipur Duar to Panvel). A smaller delay at the end of the run is possible, but this report does not measure the final arrival delay.

What these numbers mean

An average peak delay of 60 minutes across all tracked Amrit Bharat trains means that on most days a train lost a significant amount of time somewhere on its run. For the ranked trains at the top of the list the average was above 100 minutes. This is a one-week snapshot and says nothing about the causes of the delays.

If you are considering one of these trains, check the live running status and the delay history on that train's page before you travel, and read how to understand a train's punctuality. The trip planner can show alternate stations and two-train connections for your route.

How to interpret this data

The figures are TrainLiveStatus's own delay observations, not official statistics. Delay means the largest delay reported during that day's run, in minutes, and on time means within 15 minutes. Trains that run only a few days a week appear on fewer days, so their averages rest on small samples.

Frequently asked questions

What does the on-time rate mean in this report?

A day counts as on time if the largest delay reported during that day's run was within 15 minutes. This week 12% of Amrit Bharat train days met that test.

Why can a train have a large average delay but still regain time?

We record the largest delay during the run, not the delay at the destination. A train can reach its peak delay mid-run and regain some of it later. The 19726 regained 102 minutes on average after its peak.

Should I take an Amrit Bharat train if I have a connection?

Check the delay history and live running status of that specific train first. If it has been running late, leave extra time between connections.

Were any Amrit Bharat trains cancelled?

None of the 15 trains listed in the worst-performers table had cancelled days in our data this week. Check the live status before heading to the station.

Which ranked Amrit Bharat trains had the best on-time record?

Among the trains in our worst-performers list, the best on-time record was 25% (22588, Banaras to Sealdah). Most others in that list had no on-time days.

How far do the ranked Amrit Bharat trains run?

The ranked trains in this report run from 773 km (Sealdah to Banaras) to 3,124 km (Erode to Jogbani).
