How we measured Rajdhani punctuality
These figures come from TrainLiveStatus's delay history for 7 days, 26 September to 2 October 2026. Of 47 Rajdhani trains in scope, 34 had enough data to be ranked. For each train and each day we take the largest delay reported during that day's run, in minutes, and count a day as on time if that figure is within 15 minutes. Across the Rajdhanis in our data the average maximum delay was 31 minutes and 36% were on time. This is our internal tracking of live running status reports, not an official railway statistic.

What stands out
The Bilaspur to New Delhi Rajdhani (12441), which runs on Monday and Thursday, had the highest average at 99 minutes (1 hour 39 minutes) over 4 observed days, with a worst day of 149 minutes and none of its observed days on time. The New Delhi to Sealdah Rajdhani (12314) had the longest single delay, 285 minutes (4 hours 45 minutes), even though its median was 58 minutes. It was on time on 33% of its 6 observed days.
The Howrah to New Delhi Rajdhani (12301) averaged 43 minutes, but its median was 14 minutes and it was on time on 71% of observed days, so a few very bad days pulled the average up (worst day 139 minutes).
