Rajdhani Punctuality, 27 Oct to 2 Nov 2026: Our Delay Data

Our own delay tracking for Rajdhani trains from 27 October to 2 November 2026: the 15 most delayed by average, with method notes and live status links.

Indian Railways train and platform

Between 27 October and 2 November 2026, 34 of the 52 Rajdhani trains in scope were ranked by our own delay tracking. Across those 34, the on-time share (within 15 minutes) was 23%, and the average largest daily delay was 49 minutes. The most delayed on average was the NZM TVC Rajdhani (12432), at 199 minutes, or about 3 hours 19 minutes.

What we measured and how

This report uses only TrainLiveStatus's own delay tracking for seven days, 27 October to 2 November 2026. For each train we record the largest delay reported during that day's run, in minutes. A run is on time when that largest delay is within 15 minutes. Averages are per train, taken over the days we observed that train.

This is our own tracking, not an official statistic. The Rajdhani group here follows the train type in our database, so several Tejas Rajdhani services are included under the type Rajdhani. The window ends on the publishing day, so the last day may be only partly recorded.

The 15 most delayed Rajdhani trains

Trains are sorted by average largest delay, highest first. Only the 15 worst are shown, out of the 34 ranked.

The Rajdhani Express (22691) from Bengaluru to Hazrat Nizamuddin was observed on all seven days and was never within 15 minutes. Its average largest delay was 99 minutes and its worst day reached 208 minutes. A pattern that repeats every day is a different situation from one bad day.

Routes that appear more than once

Several routes come up in both directions or on more than one train. The NZM TVC Rajdhani (12432) and the TVC NZM Rajdhani (12431) both appear, from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Thiruvananthapuram Central and back. The 12432 covers 2,843 km and is the longest route in this table.

Two Tejas services to Bhubaneswar appear, the BBS Tejas Rajdhani (22812) and the 22824. The Dibrugarh routes also show up three times, through the DBRG Rajdhani (20504), the DBRG Rajdhani (20506) and the Rajdhani Express (12423) from Dibrugarh.

Route length does not settle the order on its own. The 998 km pair 12309 and 12310 averaged 93 and 86 minutes, close to the 99 minutes of the 2,374 km 22691.

What the averages do not show

An average can be pulled up by one or two very late days. The 12432 has a median of 224 minutes and a worst day of 307 minutes, so it was late consistently, not only once. The AK Tejas Rajdhani Express (12953) averaged 47 minutes but had a median of 19 minutes and a worst day of 139 minutes. For that train, the median is the better guide to a normal day.

These 15 are the worst end of 34 ranked Rajdhanis, so check your own train's row before you travel.

What travellers should do

  • Check the live status of your train on the day of travel. Train pages show the running status and the delay history.
  • If your train is on this list and your journey has a fixed time, such as a wedding, an interview or a flight, allow several hours of buffer.
  • Set arrival push alerts on the train page if someone is waiting at the station.
  • Compare other options on your route in the trip planner before you change or cancel anything.
Note: a delay average is not a reason by itself to change or cancel a booking. Refund and change rules depend on your ticket and the time left before departure, so check the official rules for your ticket.

For the previous week's comparison, see the Rajdhani punctuality report for 12 to 18 October.

Frequently asked questions

Which Rajdhani was the most delayed in this period?

The NZM TVC Rajdhani (12432) had the highest average largest daily delay at 199 minutes, across the four days we observed it. Its worst single day was 307 minutes. The 12 trains in this list that were never on time include several other long-distance Rajdhanis.

Does this mean Rajdhani trains are always late?

No. The averages come from one week of our own tracking and cover only the 15 most delayed of 34 ranked trains. The other 19 ranked Rajdhanis are not shown here, and the overall on-time rate for ranked trains was 23%.

Are Tejas Rajdhani trains included?

Yes. Several Tejas Rajdhani services appear in the list, including the BBS Tejas Rajdhani (22812 and 22824) and the RJPB Tejas Rajdhani (12309 and 12310), because our database assigns them the type Rajdhani.

Should I change my booking because my Rajdhani is on this list?

Not on this evidence alone. Check the live status of your train closer to the date and the official rules that apply to your ticket. If you have a fixed-time commitment, build in a buffer rather than relying on the average.
