Most delayed trains, 19 to 25 October 2026: our delay data
The 15 trains with the largest average daily delay in our tracking from 19 to 25 October 2026, with method, days observed and live status links.

What we measured and how
This report uses only TrainLiveStatus's own delay tracking for the seven days from 19 to 25 October 2026. For each train we record the largest delay reported during that day's run. A train counts as on time on a day when that largest delay is within 15 minutes.
This is our own tracking, not an official Indian Railways statistic. Of 6,383 trains in scope, 3,831 were ranked. Across those trains the average largest daily delay was 52 minutes, and 37% were on time as we count it. The window ends on the publishing day, so 25 October may be only partly recorded.
The 15 most delayed trains
Trains are ranked by their average largest daily delay. Every train in the table averaged more than eight hours of largest delay on the days we observed it, and none was on time on any observed day. No cancelled days were recorded for these trains in this window.

What stands out
Azad HIND Express appears twice. Azad HIND Express (12130) runs from Howrah Junction to Pune Junction, and Azad HIND Express (12129) runs back. Both were observed on all seven days. The worst day for 12130 reached 12 hours, the same as the worst day for Bju-ptj TOD Special (06022) and the longest figure in the table.
Karmabhoomi Express (22511) is a different case. Its average is 11 h 03 min over three days, and its median and worst day are both 11 h 40 min. With so few days, one very late run can move the average a lot, so read the median next to it.
Five of the 15 are special trains, and eight were observed on only three days. The median helps check the average. For ST Maldatown Express (13426) the median is 7 h 57 min against an average of 8 h 53 min, so a few very late days lift the average.
Check the running days before you plan around any special train. Our observed days do not always match the timetable. Hwh-ndls Special (04051) was observed on six days, but its timetable lists Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday only.
What the numbers do not show
A ranking of one week says nothing about why a train was late, and it is not a forecast for the coming week. It does not show whether a train made up time later in its run.
Note: the figures come from running status reports that we collect. They can differ from NTES or a railway zone's figures for the same train on the same day.
How to use this before you travel
- Check the running days first. A delay on one day says little about the others. The running days are shown on each train page.
- Look at the live status on the day. Each train page shows the current running status and its recent delay history.
- Do not plan a tight connection on these trains. The typical delay on this list is many hours, so a buffer of a few minutes will not cover it. Pick a different train or allow a full day.
- Compare alternatives. The trip planner shows other trains between the same stations, so you can choose a more punctual option.
For earlier weeks, see the most delayed trains from 12 to 18 October 2026, 11 to 17 October and 4 to 10 October. For the punctual side, read the most punctual trains from 12 to 18 October.

Frequently asked questions
How is the most delayed train ranked?
We record the largest delay reported for each train during each day's run, then rank trains by the average of those daily figures. A train counts as on time on a day when its largest delay is within 15 minutes.
Is this an official Indian Railways figure?
No. It comes from TrainLiveStatus's own delay tracking, built from running status reports. Railway zones publish their own figures, which can differ from ours.
Why do several trains have only three observed days?
Our records for this window hold reports on three days for several trains. With so few days, one very late run can move the average a lot. Check the days observed column and the median before you read too much into a rank.
Should I avoid these trains?
Not necessarily. The list shows how these trains ran in one week, not how they will run on your date. Check the live status on the day, and compare other trains on the same route in the trip planner.
